Type GSWL-SR25 Distribution Unit
GENERAL
This is a 1U subrack that contains ten line send amplifiers as well as an EPROM holding
room identification messages and tone. In addition the amplifiers can be switched to the
appropriate source by messages from the main controller GSWL-SR22.
CONTROL
This unit communicates with the main controller GSWL-SR22 using RS422 via a pair of rear panel RJ45 connectors. These
connectors are connected in parallel and are arranged to permit the RS422 data to ‘daisy
chain’. DIP switches on the rear panel must be set to provide the correct recorded
identification message. The EPROM is only large enough to hold eight messages so we have
to fit a different eproms for different installations.
