GS1U-045 Headphone Amp & GSQ59 Talkback Boxes
This is a versatile headphone amplifier / talkback unit. It comprises of a 1U subrack that has all the audio inputs & outputs on the rear panel and controls on the front panel for an engineer to operate, there are also 2 off producers boxes, that each interconnect with the 1U subrack via a standard mic cable. It has 4 off headphone amplifiers for presenters, 2 off talkback boxes for producers & operating facilities for 1 off engineer.
Each of the
4 presenters headphone amps are fed from 3 sources which themselves are derived from a
total of 5 sources. One of these sources is unique for each presenter, the other 4 sources
are broken down into 2 pairs of sources and are common to all presenters.
There are 4
off ‘through’ audio paths on the unit, each of these has balanced inputs and
outputs, talkback can be added to these audio paths from the engineer (from the front
panel of the subrack) or from the 2 producers boxes. A 5th audio output is also
available which is a talkback output from the engineer or from the producers boxes.
From the 2
producers boxes (which each connect to the subrack using just a standard mic cable) the
producers can talk individually to any of the 4 presenters. The engineer can also talk to
any of the 4 presenters. Front panel LEDs indicate if either of the producers are talking
to any of the presenters.
