GS2U-011 MONITOR/ COMPRESSOR & OUTPUT UNIT

The GS2U-011 was designed to provide some of the more frequently needed professional facilities not found as standard on 'cheap' mixing desks.

The unit features 2 inputs, each of which goes through an easy to drive, yet fully functional compressor which has a variable threshold of between -10 & + 10dBu, a choice of recovery times and a choice of 3 compression ratios (1:1, 5:1 and 10:1).
Each input has a 3 position rear panel switch for adjusting the line up level. This is either 0dB, -10dB or variable (via a rear panel pot) range -20dB to +5dB.

There are 2 outputs of each of the 2 inputs. These are grouped as A & B 1 and A & B 2. Each of these groups has an output level switch for either a 0dB output or a +4dB output.

The front panel meters are PPMs.

The GS2U-011 also has an inbuilt ident recorder for each channel, where messages of up to 16 seconds can be recorded and continuously relayed, if less than 16 seconds are recorded then on replay a 1K tone at zero level is added. The idents are recorded via a front panel mic or an external mic input, either of which can also talk to either of the 2 outputs.

Although this is basically a 2U unit, the rack ears are removable and may be reversed for rear mounting or attached vertically for under or over desk mounting.
