GS3U-057
The GS3U-057 is a codec only subrack, designed to interface with external terminal adaptors or satellite equipment through a standard X21 port. It is a 3U subrack that can accept up to 12 off G722 Codecs.
Each of the G722 codecs operate either at 64kbits/sec or 56kbits/sec and lock by statistical analyses.
On the front panel of each G722 module their are indicator LEDs showing the connection data rate, a large indicator LED that shows when the codec has framed and also a recessed reset button.
On the rear panel each of the 12 codec modules has an XLR socket and plug for audio in and out and also an X21 connector for interfacing with external satellite equipment or ISDN terminal adaptors.
To enable external indication of a codec being 'framed' a 25 way 'D' connector is provided on the rear panel with 12 individual loops that are closed when their codecs have framed.
The inut and output levels are 0dBu balanced. The codecs are aligned to accept a maximum input of +14dBu. This level will produce the maximum digital code.
The inputs are electronically balanced with a graeter than 20k Ohms input impedance.
The outputs are electronically balanced with a nominal output impedance of 50 Ohms.
