GSGC17 SUBRACK

The GSGC17 is a mono codec unit operating at a 56 or 64K data rate. It can be fitted with any combination of one or two of the Glensound standard range of codec cards. Namely APTX -- G722 -- DUAL (APTX & G722) -- MPEG Layer2 (includes G722). If two codec cards are fitted they operate entirely independently. The GSGC17 is mains operated and is constructed in a 19inch x 1U subrack.

FRONT PANEL
Two rotary controls are provided for each port. Each rotary control has LEDs corresponding to each rotary position. Some functions are only meaningful with some codecs, then the LEDs indicate the actual settings and the switch positions become inoperative. In addition to the rotary controls each port has a large LED which illuminates when the codec is locked along with a pair of small LEDs which will indicate the data rate of 56 or 64K.

REAR PANEL
Audio inputs and outputs are provided on XLR connectors. These circuits are balanced and line up at 0dBu. The data interfaces are X21 ports. RS232 connectors are provided for auxiliary data paths at 9600 baud. Auxiliary data is only available if MPEG codecs are fitted.
