HOW TO CHANGE BUTTON OPERATION ON GS-CU008

 

The operation of the PGM and TB buttons can be altered to suit individual requirements.  Three modes are available for the PGM button, and four for each TB button, as described below.  The selected configuration will be stored, and reloaded when the GS-CU008 is next switched on.

To change the operation of the GS-CU008:

1.   Turn the GS-CU008 off.

2.   Hold down the PGM button.

3.   Turn the GS-CU008 on.

4.   Release the PGM button.

5.   Press and release the PGM button until the desired mode is selected (as indicated by the PGM LED, described below).

6.   Press and release each TB button until the desired mode is selected for that channel (as indicated by the TB LED of each talkback channel, described below).

7.   Turn the GS-CU008 off.

 

PROGRAM modes

The following configuration modes are available for the PGM button:

 

1)             PROGRAM toggle on/off with talkback overide

Note that PGM will be overridden whenever a talkback channel is active.

Indication of mode during mode change:

         PGM LED will be on continuously.

 

 

2)             PROGRAM cough switch

Program will be active unless the PGM button is held down, or unless a talkback channel is active.  Pressing the PGM button will also deactivate any active talkback channels.  If all talkback channels are deactivated using the TB buttons (instead of the PGM button), program will remain inactive until the PGM button is pressed again.

Indication of mode during mode change:

         PGM LED will flash with a long duty cycle.

 

 

3)             PROGRAM toggle on/off

Note that PGM output will not be affected by any of the talkback channels.

Indication of mode during mode change:

         PGM LED will flash with short duty cycle.

 


 

TALKBACK modes

The following configuration modes are available for each TB channel separately:

 

1)             TALKBACK momentary

A talkback channel in this mode will only be active while the TB button is held down.  Program will be temporarily disabled while the TB button is held.  The operation of other talkback channels will not be affected.

Indication of mode during mode change:

         TB LED will flash with a short duty cycle.

 

 

2)             TALKBACK toggle on/off

Program will be deactivated when a talkback channel in this mode is activated.  The operation of other talkback channels will not be affected.  Pressing the PGM button will deactivate all talkback channels in this mode.

Indication of mode during mode change:

         TB LED will flash with a long duty cycle.

 

 

3)             TALKBACK toggle on/off, with override

Same as above, except that all other talkback channels will be deactivated when a talkback channel in this mode is activated.

Indication of mode during mode change:

         TB LED will be on continuously.

 

 

4)             TALKBACK toggle on/off solo

The operation of program and other talkback channels will not be affected and will not affect this channel when in this mode.

Indication of mode during mode change:

         TB LED will double flash with a long duty cycle.
