Stand 7H800, Fira de Barcelona, 3-6 February
Glensound is set to showcase its audio and intercom solutions supporting broadcast, live events and professional AV environments at ISE 2026 (stand 7H800, Fira de Barcelona, 3 - 6 February). ISE marks the start of a year of celebrations for Glensound’s 60 years of audio excellence, and the first feature is GTM Diamond: a special edition of the popular esports gamer interface, blinged up with more than 2000 Swarovski crystals!
Always driven by real-world use cases and expectations, today Glensound specialises in networked audio, supporting Dante, Ravenna, Milan (AVB), AES67 and SMPTE ST2110-30. Its compact and practical units are designed to stand up to the rigours of everyday use, while focusing on simple usability and carefully tailored functionality.
The first products using the AVB Milan networking protocol are a pair of compact analogue to network interfaces. AoIP4O offers four XLR outputs; AoIP4I has four inputs. Both can be powered from the ethernet, or by DC power bricks. New products for Dante networks include the MINOS AB22 and AX22, designed for wall mounting in a dual-gang plate. The AB22 has two bi-directional analogue audio channels on 3.5mm jacks or wireless; the AX22 has four XLR sockets: two in, two out.
A key demonstration at ISE 2026 is the Parliamentary Broadcast System (PBS). This comprehensive Dante-based platform takes a completely fresh look at the audio requirements of parliaments and legislatures, covering main debating chambers and committee rooms, with fixed or ad hoc delegate seating. Reflecting the practical requirements of legislatures, it offers independent clean feeds for broadcast, sound reinforcement and compliance logging. PBS also provides other key capabilities like voting and delegate management.
Also on display will be the DARK family of simple, rugged, reliable appliances for interfacing audio into fibre or copper Dante networks. Designed as throwdown interfaces wherever I/O is required, the range continues to expand to provide precisely the connectivity required. Typical of the continuing innovation is the DARK22M, a two-in, two-out device adding return or confidence feeds to commentary or interview positions. Powered over ethernet, the DARK22M has gain control on each channel: on the box, over the network using the GlenController app, or by any suitable device controller running UDP.
Reflecting the importance of communications around any production or event, the Glensound Beatrice intercom continues to evolve. The Beatrice R12 MkII is a 12 channel intercom controller which now incorporates multiple display screens which aid set-up by identifying source and destination labels, and a simple multi-function controller allowing the operator to talk and listen across all the channels as required.
“Glensound was founded, back in the 1960s, by broadcast engineers who really understood what was needed and what worked,” said Marc Wilson, managing director of Glensound. “That approach proved successful, and now we have users around the world – in broadcast, in events, in houses of worship, in esports and more – who come to us with their audio challenges.
“Key shows like ISE are great places where we have those conversations that spark ideas for further product enhancements,” Wilson added. “As a business, Glensound continues to be driven by our customers and our desire to provide the best solutions.”
