• Adds 2 x analogue audio input/output channels
• Removes 1 x AES input/output
• Up to 8 x AIO2 can be added
• This gives 16 analogue channels and removes all AES

The dCCU is an AES system as standard.  There are 8 AES inputs and outputs (16 channels in and 16 channels out).  Each pair of AES I/O can be replaced by a stereo analogue  pair of I/O.

Standard system is:
8 AES inputs and 8 AES outputs.

Add 1 x AIO2 card
7 x AES inputs and outputs
2 x analogue inputs and outputs

Add 2 x AIO2 cards
6 x AES inputs and outs
4 x analogue inputs and outputs

.....and so on.

As an AES connection is 2 channels, replacing this adds 2 analogue channels.

The GDC 6432 AIO2 adds an internal D to A and A to Ds to replace 1 AES with 2 analogue channels.
